In the 50s, Americans went to church regularly

Praying Hands Billboard

This is a billboard that ran in the 1950s. It was designed pro bono by the Advertising Council. I’m just curious…was this a more appropriate message for the 50s than for today or would this work today?

  1. It depends. Sometimes the ministry GOD has in mind for us any given gathering IS for us to lay our burdens at HIS cross and leave them. BUT in doing so we probably take something away too – hope, freedom, release, peace…

  2. It’s not about taking our problems to church and leaving them there…it is about taking our problems to Jesus and trading them for His peace.
